Labor Negotiations & Contract Enforcements

In California, labor-management relationships are governed by a series of statutory schemes. Cities, counties, and most special districts are governed by the Meyers-Milas-Brown Act ("MMBA"). Throughout the history of the firm, the law offices of Bobbitt Pinckard & Fields, A.P.C., has provided labor representation to our police association clients by aggressively negotiating contracts for our police association clients under the MMBA.

But, labor representation to a police association involves far more than merely negotiating a contract. Such representation involves contract enforcement, too. For our police associations, we routinely resolve disputes regarding contract interpretation and enforcement both informally, through informal resolution and grievances, and formally, through arbitrations and court action.
