Internal Affairs Investigations

Peace officers may find themselves subject to an administrative investigation as a result of on-duty or off-duty allegations of misconduct. If you are subject to such an investigation, the law offices of Bobbitt Pinckard & Fields, A.P.C., is available to provide legal representation to you.

Pursuant to the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act, as a peace officer, you have the right to representation whenever you are subject to interrogation that could lead to punitive action. Such rights are afforded when you are the subject of an internal affairs investigation, an investigation performed by other supervisory personnel, or when you are ordered to complete paperwork documenting your involvement in an incident.

Prior to any such interrogation, we are available to consult with you, prepare you for the interrogation, and be present with you throughout the interrogation to aggressively defend your rights.
